I. Data collection and processing
1. When visiting the website
If you agree to it, each time you access our website, our servers temporarily store information in a log file. This information is transmitted to us by your browser. It includes:
- browser type/version,
- operating system used,
- referrer URL (the page previously visited),
- host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
- time of the server request,
- the URL accessed.
This data is collected and processed in order to enable use of our website (establishing a connection), to ensure long-term system security and stability, to enable the technical administration of the network infrastructure and to optimise our Internet presence, as well as for internal statistical purposes. The IP address is analysed only in the event of attacks to our network infrastructure and for statistical purposes.
Our company’s employees are not able to link this data to specific individuals. This data will not be merged with other data sources. Furthermore, this data will be deleted immediately after statistical analysis, at the latest 6 months after collection. Because we, as website operator, have a legitimate interest in the aforementioned purposes, the processing of this data is regulated by Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR.
2. Contact form
You can enter your personal details on our website in order to contact us. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory fields. Entering further details may be helpful for the processing of your message, but is not mandatory (voluntary information). With your consent, this data will be used and stored exclusively for the purpose of processing your message. Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to process your request. It will not be used for other purposes or passed on to third parties unless you agree to this expressly (consent). The legal basis for this is again your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR.
Our Internet pages use “cookies” in several places to make our web presence more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session” cookies. These are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. You may also configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or that a message appears each time you receive a new cookie. Disabling cookies may prevent you from using all the features of our website. The use of such cookies is covered by our legitimate interest in the proper, user-friendly and secure presentation of our website on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR.
You can change your cookie settings here.
III. Google Analytics web analytics service
We use web analytics services as required for the purpose of designing and continuously optimising our pages. As part of this, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this site, including
- browser type/version;
- operating system used;
- referrer URL (the page previously visited);
- host name of the accessing computer (IP address);
- time of the server request
is transferred to the server and stored there. The information is used to analyse website usage, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to website and Internet use for the purpose of market research and ensuring the user-oriented design of these Internet pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf.
Under no circumstances will the IP address be linked with other data relating to the user. The IP addresses are anonymised to prevent any such linking (IP masking).
The user may object to the creation of user profiles at any time. For more information click here.
We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are regularly updated as new technologies emerge.
V. Information according to Art. 13 para. 2 (e) GDPR
The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually prescribed or required for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. If no personal data is provided to us during the individual processing activities, we cannot provide certain services or take certain measures such as contacting you into account.
VI. Duration of storage and data subject rights
Duration of storage: Once the contract is complete, the data will initially be stored for the duration of the warranty period, then in accordance with statutory retention periods, in particular tax and commercial retention periods, and then deleted after the end of the prescribed period, unless you have agreed to its further processing and use.
The data subject’s rights: If the legal requirements are met, you are entitled to the following rights pursuant to Art. 15 to 20 GDPR: the right of access, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of data.
In addition, pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR you have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR, and to processing for the purpose of direct marketing.
Right to object: If the processing of personal data specified here is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR, you have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object to such processing at any time with effect for the future.
Once an objection has been made, the data concerned will no longer be processed, unless we can prove compelling grounds for its processing worthy of protection that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you can object to this at any time by contacting us. Once an objection has been made, we will stop processing the data concerned for the purpose of direct marketing.
All requests for information and objections to data processing shall be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the above-mentioned data controller’s postal address.
